Project Details: Remodelling Jireh Church

Client: Jireh Church

Location: Bebbington, Wirral

Project Description:

This major refurbishment of an existing community church building exceeded the client’s objectives of creating a more durable, yet contemporary space that could be used for both family church services and extensive community-based activities.

A full internal redesign has enabled the church to become a truly multifunctional building allowing different activities to occur concurrently in the light and airy new spaces created. The exciting transformation has allowed the church to become more efficient and reach out to more people within the community.

A clearly contemporary response, the dynamic forms and creative use of materials have given the church a new presence within the community which has proved a huge commercial success, ensuring the future sustainability of the church. Extensive consultation with the wider community and key stakeholders underpinned the delivery of the project and through listening a response specifically tailored to the needs of the local community has been delivered.
